Who is Eric?
Eric is the founder and principle coach of of PHi 1.6 Coaching & Development. He was raised at birth on the tiny island of Singapore before relocating to Australia, Brisbane in 2006 with his wife and daughters in tow.
Born into a humble family of 3 siblings in the post war era at the tail end of the babyboomers; Eric is happily married to his high school soulmate and together they have 3 grown up daughters.
At the time of this writing, Eric is grandparent to 2 and he is expecting more in the coming years.
Education and Career
Eric was schooled in Singapore and completed his tertiary education in the field of Engineering. Provided with the vigour of youth, qualification and opportunities he embarked on his career and to discover what life has instored. Over the past years, opportunities presented and his career pathways were never a dull moment; coursing through the fields of Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Insurance, Finance and Banking and Education.
Coursing through his career pathway, he started in junior roles and over the years with gathered work experiences Eric was appointed to senior management roles. His core competences are in operation and quality management, process and project delivery and human capital allocation and development.
Interests
Eric is active in sports and is an avid squash player. Besides sports, he loves music. He plays the drums, guitar, piano and has a passion for belting out his vocals in the bathroom. Eric embraces a faith-centred life values and is actively engaged in helping others journey through their seasons of life.

Eric obtained his Gallup Strengths Coaching accreditation in 2013. However, he has been coaching individuals and teams for more than 25 years throughout his corporate career in his managerial roles.

Whilst searching for an expression to capture the essence of his work, Eric was led to encapsulate the essence of coaching via the symbol of PHI.

In a simplified expression, the PHi PRINCIPLE attempts to encapsulate the essence of the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci sequence. The PHi symbol purpose to reflect the notion - When there is a balance in life, beauty will present itself in a most spectcular manner.
The journey of growth and development in each person is like the golden ratio 1.61803398875..... a never ending series. The human potential in each person is continuously revealed at different stages and seasons of life and will continue until the end of time.
